About Me
I’m Raghav Sampath, a rising senior at Montclair Kimberley Academy in New Jersey, focused on American political history — electoral realignments, redistricting, and how parties build and break their coalitions.
My junior thesis traced Bill Clinton and the New Democrats, and I write a Substack on New Jersey politics; alongside that I study democratic theory and the alternatives to voting that different societies have built.
Aside from that, I’ve canvassed several New Jersey campaigns, and I am currently an intern for Congressman Josh Gottheimer and the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless. I am a High Honor Roll student.
Besides Politics I also have a keen interest in behavioral economics, history, international relations, and American football.
